Rowupdating template updating gentoo

The XAML UI framework provides List View and Grid View controls that make it easy to display and manipulate data in your app.

List View and Grid View both derive from the List View Base class, so they have the same functionality, but display data differently.

For demonstration I have created a database (named Database.mdf) in which we have a table named tbl_Employee.

Most applications manipulate and display sets of data, such as a gallery of images or a set of email messages.

In the below case, I have implemented a nested Grid View where the following provision is made available.

By Default, Grid View control displays Item Template which directly shows the Product Name and Unit Price columns but when user clicks Edit button Grid View automatically switches to Edit Item Template and display the control available inside Edit Item Template for user editing.I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. New Values[] seems to work for other edittemplate fields ok. New Values["webname"] = "randomvalue"; I think I want to be able to do this... It's when I click Update on the Edit Item Template that I believe the problem occurs.Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S. @masterpass - The Toggle method works fine in checking or unchecking the Edit Template checkbox. Maybe it will help: It's actually fairly easy to get the info you want once you know the trick. Data Bind(); To populate the New Values collection, put the following code in the Row Updating event: Grid View gv = (Grid View)sender; for (int i = 0; i Thanks 13598, I don't quite understand what you code is does but I found a work around myself. One is a hidden field that containes 0 or 1 depending on the data and the other is a checkbox that we can also set depending on 0 or 1.Now I will show you the C# code behind file of the above ASP.NET page that will handle different Grid View events to provide complete editing functionality.
